Your Path Is Written For You, But Will You Take The Road Less Traveled!?!…

I’ve been writing all my life, yet I never knew I’d be writing for my life. I’ve books upon books of childhood and teenage writings from personal journals, to poetry, to articles for my grade school and high school newspapers. I thought my path was chosen for me when my parents instructed me to go to school to become the next “Doctor Who.”

As I reflect on a conversation I had with my former mentor & professor at my alma mater La Salle University, the late great Brother Joe, “being great at psychology doesn’t mean you’re meant to be a psychologist / psychiatrist. Maybe you’re meant to do something else with the tools you’ve learned.” I remember thinking to myself how dare he say that to me and how disappointed my family would be if I quit now. Needless to say, I didn’t quit. I graduated with my degree but it wasn’t until now that I’ve really gotten use out of it.

All those years of studying, all the years since of struggling to find my purpose, yet now here I am. Finally on the path I’m meant to be on. I’m so excited about where God is taking me. Seems like life is coming around full circle! Guess I had to go astray to learn a few lessons in order to teach what God has to offer. That’s why I minister for everyone to trust their journey. You never know where you’ll end up.
