There may be serious issues going on IN your life; but don’t let them cloud the beauty, joys and blessings that SURROUND your life!
As mere human beings, just as our ancestors before us, many times we tend to focus solely on what’s going wrong or has gone wrong in our lives, that we miss the opportunity of discovering what’s going or has gone right. We focus so much time & energy stressing over the “problems” in our world, that we don’t stop to take a moment or two to just look around, enjoy / embrace the moment, smile, laugh, pray and thank God for the problems we don’t have.
It’s the little things that count, though the seemingly “bigger” things will add value to our lives.
So appreciate and count your blessings, dear Friend! Life isn’t as bad as you think. There are blessings all around; yet, we tend to not even recognize, nor truly appreciate them: like life, nature, good food, clean water, medicine, a conscious mind, freedom, faith, hope, the ability to love and the capability to be loved, a place to sleep, a warm bed to lie in, a hot shower to take, a phone to call for help in case of emergency, electricity to see our way through the darkness…(I think you get the point I’m trying to make here)… There are far more important parts to your life and overall well being than stress and problems.
Trust me when I tell you, there are people who have it worse off than you!
I know it may seem “easier-said-than-done” to NOT focus on your problems or the things missing from your life — but I honestly speak from experience. I have fallen victim many times to my own anxiety disorder, depression and stress worrying about things / people; however, what I’ve learned is life goes on.
In order to grow, you have to let go of the things you can’t control and learn to move with the flow of the wind. The universe, its problems, will take care of itself. You don’t have to do anything but be strong, trusting in God to carry you through your journey.
So the next time you need a reminder that your life really isn’t as bad as it seems & that your problems aren’t too “big-of-a-deal” for God, try taking a jog, ride or walk down a nearby street, stop to look around the area you are in, maybe even speak to a stranger / reach out to a coworker, call up a family member or a friend & really see with your heart not just your eyes and ears what’s really going on in their lives. {You can also be subtle and take out your smart phone and google other neighborhoods, cities, countries of the world.}
Research, seek and find.
You will see that you are rather luckier than you think. Count your blessings! Thank God for the luck, grace and mercy He’s provided to you & I. He didn’t have to do it but he did and that’s an awesome thing!
Sincerely with Peace, Love and Great Tidings,
