Be A Light; It’s Time To Get Your Summer Mind Right…

Have you ever heard of the saying “the all seeing eye?” Growing up, I’ve seen it plastered on the back of dollar bills, movie posters, and books never knowing what it truly meant to have an “all seeing eye.” I used to hear my grandparents talk about “the eyes are the windows to the soul,” yet still I knew nothing about what they were speaking of. Even Jesus spoke about the eyes, back in biblical times, when he said in Matthew 6:22 NLT, ““Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.”

While many may read this passage and think Jesus is talking about an actual eye; I, on the other hand, believe Jesus was talking about our minds. Our brains, like our hearts, are the most important, viable and powerful organs in our bodies. Everything is filtered through them from the moment we are conceived until the moment we become deceased.

Picture your own mind for a moment.

When your mind is clouded with the day-to-day stressors of life, your brain starts to ache, thereby causing you to get a headache. However, when your mind is clear, say when you’re on vacation relaxing and having a good time, your brain is able to flow freely and perform at ease.

So it makes since that we should take better care of our brains (or eyes) right?

It’s time to start our Summer cleaning! It’s time to declutter our minds. It’s time to make our bodies healthy and whole again. It’s time to take out the toxic waste that clogs up our thoughts. It’s time to extinguish those negative fires and traps set by the enemy that keeps us stuck in a rut.

Spring may be on it’s way out, but many consider this weekend to be the official start of summer. So walk into your new season healthy, rejuvenated and revitalized. Forget stressing over having a “summer body.” Instead, how about owning a “Summer Mind!” Let’s kick this season off right by doing away with all the waste that’s keeping God out.

He wants to fill us with His Holy Spirit. So let Him freely enter into the gates of your mind palace. Allow His conscience, His thoughts to flow through your mind. Open yourself up to allow Christ to fill up that void with beautiful, warm lights of serenity, joy, happiness, peace, calmness and goodness. It can all be yours if you just learn to let go of the darkness blocking out the light.

My prayer::

I pray that you challenge yourself today to declutter your mind in order to get ready for your summer blessings. I pray that you figure out, organize and eliminate the stuff that’s keeping your third eye clouded. I pray that you receive clarity and assurance as your journey continues on. May you learn to seek God first, always, in everything that you do. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen!

Sincerely with love,
