“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” John 11:25 NLT
Ask yourself this question, “Am I really ready for Christ?” What if God cracked the sky tonight, how many can stand tall and say, “Jesus, I’m ready. I’ve been a loyal and faithful servant.”
He says in Matthew 7:22-23 NLT, “On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’” Some of you may be bold and brave enough to lie about your time here, but that’s not my truth.
Lord, I haven’t always been a loyal and faithful servant. There’s plenty of times where I’ve fallen short in seeking God’s glory. There’s many times I’ve chosen my own selfish needs and personal agendas instead of His calling. There’s been times when I’ve sinned against others by yelling at them, judging them, cursing them and not forgiving them when they sin against me. I’m not always in church every week, nor have I found a church home. Although my prayers, scripture readings and writings are throughout each day; when nighttime falls, at times, I become prey.
There’s a saying, “the freaks come out at night” and evil loves to play in the dark. So I struggle at night to fight off the demons that linger around ever nook and corner. It’s hard doing the Lord’s work! It’s not easy being chosen by God and constantly feeling like you’re never doing enough. Every day it’s a struggle to continue on this journey. To follow the rules told to us by Moses. To practice the teachings of Jesus according to the gospels.
It says in Mark 14:38 NLT, “Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.””
So my prayer for tonight is that we all get right quick with God. Let us stay strong in the fight to do good. Tomorrow is not promised to no one. So I pray we make the most of our time here on this planet Earth. Let us care for and nurture others in the love, peace and joy of Jesus Christ. May we always do our parts in serving the kingdom. May our steps be ordered and we gladly take up our mantles bearing the mark of God & his son Jesus Christ proudly. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
“Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.””Luke 14:14 NLT
Have a blessed evening my friend,
