“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?”(Romans 8:35 NLT)
Tonight I write this post with a heavy heart. I haven’t lost a person (praise God for that) but I feel that I’ve lost potential followers of Christ in this battle known as Instagram Wars. While everyday I use my platform to post beautiful pictures taken by amazing photographers, scriptures that I read from the Youversion Bible app, along with writing my own personal story & journey in hopes to inspire, empower, encourage & uplift people who need it; unfortunately, there are forces at work trying to tear me down and destroy the power of God’s word.
I am not here to put anyone down so I won’t name any names / their tags. I just find it very disheartening how many people have cold hearts against God’s love toppled along with the fact that of my attempts to empower people. Truth be told, I don’t get paid to praise God. I do it because I love him & for the blessings he’s been on my life.
When I was in darkness with nowhere & no one to turn to, I turned to God. He counted my tears, washed the pain away and ordered my steps. I am forever grateful for his loving kindness and mercy. It’s because of Him that I’ve chosen to do my part in “Kingdom work”. It’s by His grace that I feel strong enough to open up so freely & share my life’s story. I do so in prayer having faith that my work, my truth, my honesty will not only bring someone else closer to God, but that it will also allow whoever needs to know that they are not alone in their daily struggles.
Faith is freely given but following Christ can be challenging. There’s many temptations and people that seek to destroy you. There are many tests / trials that come your way to make you think & feel like God is not on your side. I’m here to tell you that you have not been forgotten by God. He’s still on your side and He will see you through until the end of your time!
While I’ll still continue doing what Christ told me to do, it doesn’t erase my sadness knowing that we still live in a world where people hate those trying to do the right thing. People would rather judge you based on the followers you have & not the message you teach. People would rather put you down instead of uplift and inspire you. People would rather see you lose than to see you win!
Just like Christ, I won’t stop promoting God. I won’t stop loving God and spreading His word. I won’t stop sharing my story no matter how uncomfortable it makes others / non-believers. I truly embrace and believe I have a calling on my life and that’s to do God’s work by sharing my story with the world on how God brought me out of the darkness and into the light. He saved my soul when no one else cared whether I lived or died. For that, I will always be forever grateful of that nice thing He did by saving my life.
So tonight, I pray for those who try to shut me down. I pray that God has mercy on their souls and that He continues to bless them in spite of their ways. May no harm or ill will come their way. May I continue to have the strength needed to help others by sharing my story. May I continue to encourage others to fight the good fight by spreading love & peace not war, hated nor intolerance. May each person who I reach be touched and anointed by God’s word and His presence in my life. May each person I touch be drawn even closer to God. In Jesus name I pray that God’s will be done in yours and my life. Amen.
Sincerely with love,

‘Faith is freely given but following Christ can be challenging.’ ~~~~isn’t that the truth!
But I am greatful that my faith in Him is strong enough to prevent me from straying away too far for too long!
