Each and every day I try my best to be a good person. I’m a Christian so I follow Christ, but in no way do I claim to be “Christ-like” for those are big shoes to fill. All I can do each and every day is try to be the best version of myself possible. By being kind, forgiving, generous, patient, understanding, prayerful and thankful.
To me, that’s what it means to be a Christian. To do good by your fellow man. Treat your neighbor or stranger kindly. Treat people how you’d want to be treated. It’s not always easy, at times it can be down right hard, but my willingness to see past a person’s flaws keeps me steady and my mind is at ease knowing I kept my cool in difficult situations.
At times, I may want to be petty or repay nastiness and negativity with the same energy given to me, but my will to follow Christ’s example keeps me grounded and focused. I don’t allow anyone to get the best of me. No one has power over me but God. That’s the leader inside of me. I’d rather stand a part than to do what everyone else does. I’d rather let karma take its course than to bother repaying ill will back to those who seek to give it to me. I know that God’s will is good and He’ll handle any enemy that tries to stand in my way. So I keep the faith and I keep it moving.
I pray today that you follow my example. Hold your peace and let the Lord fight your battles. You may want to go down a different path but don’t. Stay on track and remain focused on your journey. You have goals in life, things you are trying to achieve, ways you want made. Hold your tongue, stand your ground and let God handle the rest. He will repay back every good deed you do and every evil doer that comes your way. The enemy wants to see you fail. God wants to see you triumph and succeed. So survive the battles that come your way by staying focused on whatever it is you’re working on / towards. Let no man deter you from your goal. In Jesus name I pray you keep your peace and stay focused on the right path that lies ahead of you. Amen. Always remember that the way of God is much better than the way of man!
