Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.” (2 Corinthians 1:6-7 NLT)
I love how the people are coming together in time of need. That’s what being a Christian or Christ-follower is all about — helping your fellow man, loving one another, praying for one another and giving of your time, money, and resources all while keeping the faith that God will provide and make a way out of no way.
This was God’s plan all along. This has always been God’s plan for our lives — that every storm that comes our way, whether literal of figuratively speaking, we remember who God is and that He does all things for the good of man and His kingdom. He loves us all and doesn’t want to see us suffer, fail or fall. Nevertheless when we do, He’s that same loving Father there to comfort us, cover us, love us, picks us up and supplies all of our needs.
Many times in life we tend to forget that. We get so busy caught up in our own lives that we forget about our fellow brothers and sisters under God. We become so obsessed with things and self that we tend to forget God!
I want to remind you all of the 23rd Psalms that starts by saying, “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” (Psalms 23:1 NLT) It’s in God only that our needs are met & supplied. Let’s not forget that today as we go about our way. Continue to come together, give of your time / resources and pray for your fellow man, woman or child. Let’s stand tall and proud one nation under God!
