I pray tonight for peace for all. The world can be a tough place to live. It’s filled with both good and bad people, destruction, disaster, joys, horrors, death, life, darkness and pain. But the spirit and strength of our God is strong! Much stronger than any other being / thing that tries to come against us.
So I pray for God’s children. May we all be covered by God tonight as we rest. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:11 NLT, “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”
I encourage each person who reads this to take time tonight to pray. I know you may be busy, but prayer works in spite of our schedules. Talk to God and tell Him all about your troubles, joys, goals, dreams / desires. Allow His grace, love and mercy to percolate deep down inside of you and lift you higher than all of the stars in the sky.
Also, slide in a prayer for someone else. Whoever it is, that first person that comes to mind, pray for them. You never know what they’re going through. Your quick prayer for their life may be just the answer they need.
My prayer tonight is simple: may we all have courage in the sight of fear, joy in the sight of sorrow, love in the sight of pain and light in the sight of darkness. May His light shine the brightest and draw out any attacks the enemy has planned. May He cover us in spite of our deserving of it. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
