With knowledge, comes wisdom. In order to gain wisdom, we must read. The best reading I’ve done is the Bible. By reading the word of God, it helped me to look deep within myself. I was able to see the things that were perfectly imperfect as well as the things that I needed to change.
If you’ve been praying and haven’t seen results, then chances are you are either praying to the wrong “god” or the All Mighty God is waiting on you. What’s He waiting on you for? He’s waiting on you to start changing! You can’t expect God to shift things in your life if you’re content with remaining stagnant and complacent. You can’t expect things to change if you are unwilling to change. God doesn’t work like that. He wants to elevate you, elevate us all, but it first starts from within. He can’t grow in your heart if you won’t change your heart. Eliminate the hatred, jealousy, envy, fear, judgement of others, etc. and allow God’s love to flourish from within. You can’t expect others to change in order for you to be happy. Happiness starts from within.
If you want change in your home, be the change needed in your home. If you want your kids to change, start by looking in the mirror and evaluating what it is that you need to change about yourself. If you want your husband/ wife to “act right”, then start by getting yourself right. Lesson can be taught but only when one passes the test. You can’t pass the test unless you start changing. You can’t grow if you’re choosing to stay in the same place.
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.” (2 Peter 1:5-7 NLT)
Change yourself, change your surroundings, your friends, your inner and outer circle. Changing these things doesn’t mean you dislike or hate them, it means that you love yourself more by choosing to focus more energy on getting yourself & your heart right with God. God is moving but He can’t shift & maneuver in your life if you won’t allow Him to. You can’t expect new things with old baggage weighing you down. This is the season to CLEAN HOUSE! You better get your house in order & get RIGHT with the one & only GOD!!!
“Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.” (1 Timothy 4:1-2 NLT)
Don’t be like everyone else. Follow what you know in your heart to be true. You know God because you were taught who He really is and who His son Jesus Christ is when you were a child. If you don’t know, then you need to pray saying, “Lord, please show me your ways.” Be prepared to receive what you ask. Try Him for yourself and I promise you your life will never be the same!

Good stuff! “You can’t expect things to change if you are unwilling to change” – This is really powerful and is also hard to understand unless you actually experience it. Many people fear this kind of growth. We need it though.
