With politics, climate change, natural disasters, racism, prejudice, raging war and hate on the rise, one might think God is missing. I’m here to tell you that God’s not missing in the chaos, He’s right in the midst of it all. We tend to think of God only sending good things and not the bad; however, God is almighty and can do whatever he wants to do.
“So God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy all living creatures, for they have filled the earth with violence. Yes, I will wipe them all out along with the earth!” (Genesis 6:13 NLT). “The Lord said to Moses, “You are about to die and join your ancestors. After you are gone, these people will begin to worship foreign gods, the gods of the land where they are going. They will abandon me and break my covenant that I have made with them. Then my anger will blaze forth against them. I will abandon them, hiding my face from them, and they will be devoured. Terrible trouble will come down on them, and on that day they will say, ‘These disasters have come down on us because God is no longer among us!’ At that time I will hide my face from them on account of all the evil they commit by worshiping other gods.” (Deuteronomy 31:16-18 NLT)
As we can see, God allows stuff to happen to bring glory and honor to His name, to teach us lessons, to get us back on track with His Kingdom, and to see the prophesies of old be fulfilled. If God did it before, He can do it again. The history of the Bible teaches us that every time bad things happen, good things will soon follow. All things are prophetic — that means they are destined to happen long before we were born. I know when you think of prophesies, or someone telling the future, you immediately think of psychics. However, I’m not speaking about people who claim to know your future for a friendly dollar. No, I’m talking about the one true prophetically divine, Holy, precious man after God’s own heart, that came down and spoke about all of these things happening long ago.
Right before Jesus Christ left for Jerusalem to be crucified, He told the disciples this prophetic message about the future: “Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world? ” Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:3-14 NLT)
Wow, if that doesn’t speak volumes of power in your heart then I don’t know what will. This wonderful man, sweet, precious son of God, who performed countless miracles and blessed everyone he came into contact with, spoke centuries ago about all of these things that we are witnessing today. My what a mighty and wonderful friend we have in Jesus! He was so kind to warn us and share with us all that He knows about the Kingdom and power of God.
Then Jesus went on to teach, “A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones. “Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.” (Matthew 24:17-25 NLT)
Receiving God’s warnings, spoken prophetically through His son Jesus Christ, doesn’t mean we should live our lives in fear or be afraid of what’s to come.
We’ve been given these warning signs for the sole purpose of looking towards God’s Kingdom for everything we need, to receive His teachings and second coming of His beloved son Jesus Christ. Knowing that all of these things are happening because He is on His way should bring you a sense of joy and peace that God is STILL in control!
“Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near”…“And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world —from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.”
“In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”
“So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” (Matthew 24:28, 30-31, 33-36, 42-44 NLT)
I pray the words of Christ Jesus seeps deep into your heart and fills you with the knowledge you need to endure these hard, troubling times. May His peace fill your mind as you come to know that God is still in control and that all things are working according to His purpose. Stay focused on being kind, learning God’s word, doing good deeds, staying in prayer and building a strong, deep relationship with God. May His Holy Spirit give you more understanding, love, peace, purpose, courage, guidance and strength to endure and may you be filled with a whole lot of joy in Jesus name, Amen.
Be encouraged! Sincerely with love,

A pretty important message A.G! There is no reason why genuine Christians should fear the words of Jesus, especially when it comes to him speaking about the future. Your right, he is awesome for sharing what he knows with those who have ears to hear, we can be prepared in our hearts and with the way we live and invite others along with us.
Thanks for being bold enough to share this Andrea, hope you are doing good this week

Hey Evad, thanks but all credit goes to God for my “boldness” 😅 because had it been up to me alone, I wouldn’t be so open and honest with everything including my shortcomings. But I figured God has a plan for my openness. Clearly it’s meant to not only help myself heal and overcome but also for others who need to know that they’re not alone, that God is in control and that there’s someone out there in the world who cares enough to pray for them and tell them to keep going and don’t lose hope. I’m just the messenger, Christ is my pen, God does the writing through me. I’m glad to know you as well as others get something from my honesty. Thanks for letting me know. 😇😊 I pray your week is going well too.
