A Personal Moment Of Thanksgiving & Praise…

Thinking back over my life, in particular the last three years, I am humbled and grateful for the Lord’s loving mercy. I’ve been through so much and with all that I am, I can do nothing more than to give God praise.

I am who I am today because He chose me. I live today because He said I would not die yet for I have purpose over my life. I love wholeheartedly because He mended my broken heart. I will give God praise in spite of this crazy world we live in. I will lift up and exalt the presence of the Lord for he heard my cries and bottled up every tear.

Whether it’s cool or not, I do not care for I know what the Lord spoke to me. I share my love of the Lord sincerely. I walk by faith and not by site trusting solely in the Lord to provide all of my needs. I may not know nor understand many things but what I do know is that God is good to me. I have favor despite my flaws and my sins. Jesus died for me and my soul is forever humbled. Christ is my best friend and I happily admit my love for Him.

I strongly encourage and urge everyone, if you want to know love, peace and joy like none other, get into God’s word. The Spirit of the Lord will truly bless your life and renew your soul. Reading God’s words daily keeps me comforted, at peace, filled with a sense of calming joy and a whole lot of love. I’m forever grateful for what God has done for me. I live a life renewed because of His glory.

It’s so interestingly amazing how crucial the word of God is and how it relates to many things we go through on a day to day basis. That’s why it’s so important for all of us to get into God’s word. I never understood it until I became lost. It took some time for me to get into the flow of reading His word but now it truly is my daily bread. I had to go through some things in order to learn some things. I had to become gracefully broken in order to see the light and life that God has in store for me.

Now, I no longer live in darkness for God’s light outshined it, glowing the brightest I’ve ever seen light appear. Everyday I spend time reading and studying God’s word. It keeps me on my feet and is the best form of self- help improvement ever written. You want to be encouraged, get into the Word. You want to hear the news, read the greatest news alive. You want to be redeemed, turn to the Redeemer. You want to be healed, reach out to the Healer. You want to be saved, call on the Savior. You want to be brand new, count on the Way Maker. You want to be freed, He’s a Chain Breaker.

Trust me when I tell you the Lord is the best form of hope around. Just get into His Word (the Bible) and let Him teach you, train you and transform you. Let Him in and allow His love and devotional guides to help you along the way. He may not come when you want Him but He’ll be there right on time. You may not see him working but trust me, by reading and studying His word, He’s working through you.

Things will begin to change in your life once you make reading and praying a part of your daily routine. The atmosphere will start to shift once you shift some things around. Pencil Him into your daily schedule and I promise you, it’ll be the best meeting you’ve ever taken. I leave you with this psalm of thanksgiving written long ago but it speaks to my heart and everything I’ve been through.

“I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth! I believed in you, so I said, “I am deeply troubled, Lord.” In my anxiety I cried out to you, “These people are all liars!” What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people. The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die. O Lord, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains. I will offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people— in the house of the Lord in the heart of Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭116:1-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Be filled with peace and love always.

Sincerely yours,
