Stay Focused, God Is Not Finished With You Yet!!!

This week is ending on a high note for me. I’ve not been feeling my best in health; but nonetheless, I persevere staying in prayer and constant meditation with God’s word. Thanks be unto God, for all week long I’ve been receiving multiple revelations as well as some confirmations over my life. Some are things I’ve already prayed for while others are just reminders of mere thoughts or visions that once popped into my mind sometime ago.

At the time of my visions, I had brushed them off forgetting all about them deeming them as silly little thoughts. I knew I wasn’t in the position to see them through, as well as I didn’t think I should devote too much time into thinking about them. One of the many things I’ve learned through this process is that what God has for me, He’ll bring it up again showing me the way. This week that notion sunk in because God did just that. He hadn’t forgotten about those thoughts I once had. Ironically, He placed those little nuggets of ideas in my head for a reason so that when the time would come or present itself, I’d know it was indeed from Him.

Yet still with all the confirmations and revelations that’s been happening, lately I’ve found myself feeling anxious again — that darn anxiety disorder just won’t let up! Right after I received a major confirmation of a vision I once had, I started getting so worked up over the details. How am I going to make it happen? Where will I get the finances to achieve it? When will it happen? In the midst of my minor anxiety attack, I was reminded that God has everything under control. I was focusing on the wrong things. Instead of allowing the enemy to trip me up and lead me to think that God doesn’t have a plan for me and that I must figure it out on my own, I should’ve been focusing more on how I’ll act and prepare while I wait for God to move. Thank God for whispering to me, “Look up!” for immediately I saw this wonderful scripture that I have hanging above my door reminding me each day what to stay focused on.

Many times when God speaks, or doesn’t speak, we tend to get so overwhelmed with our own thoughts and actions on trying to make things happen. Yet there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout this entire process of being gracefully broken — God’s timing is not our timing. Patience is a virtue and understanding God’s word is a knowledgeable gift not to be taken lightly. That’s why it’s so important to read the Bible. If God said He’ll do something, the Bible teaches us that He will do it. If He brought anyone to something, then He’ll bring them through it. If He’s given us tests or allowed trials to occur in our lives, He’s also provided us the tools (the Bible) we need to get through and overcome anything standing in our way. Worrying about how it’s going to happen does nothing for our lives. Getting worked up trying to do things on our own adds no value towards our future. That’s why the. Bible says this:

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

‭‭(Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

With everything I’ve been through, God brought me through it. By staying in prayer, reading His word daily, singing His songs / hymns and making steady, daily progress to cultivate and nurture my relationship with Christ, I’ve been able to overcome it all. No power of my own might but all the will, power and works of God. In knowing this, or rather being reminded of this, I know that God will bring into fruition everything that He’s promised me. All the revelations or things spoken over my life that He’s allowed me to hear, I know that I must trust His plan and know that He’ll make a way out of no way. Although I can’t see it all now, I know that I have the victory in the name of Jesus!

So today I’m writing not only for myself but for you who reads this. Whoever you are, wherever you are, know that God will not leave you nor forsake you. If you’ve prayed to Him about something specific, know that He’s heard your prayers, seen your tears and bottled up your cries. He will work things out on your behalf according to His will and His purpose for your life. If He gave you the vision or a dream to achieve in your lifetime, know that He’ll make a way out of no way. You may not see how it’ll happen nor a deadline as to when it will happen but just know that God is in control and He’s already working it out for your good. He’s set destiny in your path and already gave you the victory though you may not see it right now.

You may feel defeated now or you may feel like God has forgotten you but be encouraged my friend and know that God forgets no one. Our lives have already been pre-written by the Almighty Author and Creator. We are living our lives backwards because He’s already written our life’s stories. Each and every one of us has a unique story and path that God already chose for us long ago. Jesus Christ paved the way for us to live our best lives before we were even born. Through His sacrifice, we can claim the victory now knowing that as long as we have God in our lives, He will guide us through any tests or trials that arises.

So fret not about the things you cannot see today. Don’t worry about the cares of life, how you’re going to get things done nor when you’ll see the victory. Just know that it’s on the way.

““That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew‬ ‭6:25-34‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Your brighter, better days are ahead of you not behind you. You have yet to live your best days in life. You may not be able to see the finish line now but keep running the race. Don’t look behind you and don’t look beside you for nothing good comes from going backwards nor looking around at what others are doing / achieving. Move forward, stay focused and go at your own pace trusting solely in God to help you finish your race. Know that your steps are ordered and destiny awaits you.

Cheer up, rejoice now and find a little ounce of victorious hope that your days ahead (latter days) are going to be so much greater than you could ever imagine. God’s already given us the victory. We just have to embrace what’s to come even if we cannot yet see it.

“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

“You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!” (John‬ ‭4:35-36‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

“The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.”

‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭69:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
