Praise Your Way Out!!!

How do you write when you’re fingers can’t do the talking? How do you stay focused on faith when you’re under attack by the enemy? These are some questions that I’ve asked God lately as I’ve been going through pain in my feeble ability to write consistently within the last two months. As I’ve shared with you before last year, I’ve been having physical issues with my writing hand and wrist. The pain and swelling at times feels unbearable. I love writing and not being able to do it on a consistent basis has been, in part, devastating to say the least. Yet through it all, I’ve remained faithful and diligent in my prayers and studying of the word.

Now, I will not lie and say that it’s easy. Some days are much better than others. However, it’s due to my faith in God’s authority to change and heal any situation, that I’ve had the strength and courage to press on. I know that it’ll get better for I’ve seen God work before. I know the power that He has for I’ve witnessed with my own two eyes how He’s changed my life. Yes, I may be struggling now with writing and having full control over my hand and wrist but God’s been strengthening me everyday. How? Through physical, mental and spiritual therapy, I’m getting better with time.

Every morning I wake up with a prayer of thanksgiving for seeing another day. After that, I read the word of God (the Bible) and do a 20 minute intense cardio workout. I can’t always grab the weights properly but thank God my legs and other parts of my body still work. The pain feels brutal but I know the results will be worth it in the end. Throughout my workout and day, I speak affirmations over my life. They are little positive gem notes that I’ve placed on my walls, on my phone and even in the small forms of my tea bags that I drink throughout the day. Some are actual scriptures while others are just kind quotes affirming that everything will be just fine if I remain positive and believe in myself and keep my faith in God. That’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey in life. I may not have control over everything but my circumstances will change if I just remain positive and believe in myself and the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

So today’s message is simple: You have to praise your way through the stuff. Whatever the stuff is in your life, whether that be sickness, illness, stress, depression, anxiety, work, finances, etc, always remember the one who’s been through it all — Jesus Christ! Take your cares and problems to the one who went through poverty, was the first to be betrayed, had plots against his life since before he was born, had the epitome of haters lined up ready to throw stones and insults at him, was beaten, spit on, tortured, stressed and stretched beyond measure and who died for our sins. With everything stacked against him, He overcame the obstacles. The enemy set out to destroy him, but He rose up with all power and conquered the enemy. How? Because the power of God was on His side.

God has all the power to fix any situation we go through. Everyday holds the possibility of a miracle and just like that things can turn around for our good. No matter what we go through, what attack the enemy sends our way, we must take joy in knowing that when he tried to take out Jesus, he failed! That means that if we trust in God and our Holy Savior Jesus Christ, we cannot fail. The enemy cannot succeed under the blood of Jesus because He has no authority.

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”” ‭‭(John‬ ‭10:27-30‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

So speak The Word, get into the Bible and declare that the enemy cannot stay. Believe in your heart that everything will work out for your good. Speak kind words to yourself, the world is judgmental enough so there’s no need for you adding to the misery. As you go through, praise your way through all the stuff that’s trying to tear you down.

My prayer: Lord Jesus, it’s me. I come to you today seeking comfort through this trying time. Allow your peaceful, healing hands to wash over my body and my mind. Shake away any injury, illness and disease that may be causing my body to deteriorate. I decree and declare now that the enemy cannot win. I will continue to pray and praise my way through this pain and any amount of stuff that tries to amass against me. You said in Matthew 11,

“…Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭11:28-29‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

So I give it all to you! Please God, let my prayer not just touch my heart and body but let it penetrate and percolate through to every reader. Heal them in their minds, bodies and spirits. Replenish their souls and finances. Destroy any and every attack from the enemy over their lives. Let not one of your children grow weary in this season. The world may be cold, crazy and chaotic, but we know that with you brings joy, love, comfort and peace. So we bless your name and ask now God that you count it all done. Give us the strength we need to overcome any obstacles that stands in our way. I pray this new year be a year of open doors and breakthroughs in your name Jesus, Amen.

Stay encouraged, pray for me and each other and no matter what’s happening in your life — keep the faith! Know that God has not left us nor forsaken us. Have a great, healthy, prosperous Happy New Year!!! Until I can write to you again, sincerely with love,
